THE impending arrival of the new range of luxury vehicles from Infiniti continues with prices of the EX coupe/SUV crossover models.
Powered by the same 3.7-litre V6 petrol engine as the Nissan 370Z coupe and roadster models, the EX is scheduled to arrive here this autumn.
Unlike the Infiniti FX model there will be no 5.0-litre V8 alternative since the EX is smaller and lighter than the FX so the engine has less work to do.
The newcomer will be able to reach 60mph from standstill in just 6.4 seconds and will boast a top speed of 150mph.
Economy is 25mpg but the CO2 count is high at 265g/km.
Prices will start at £35,200 for the standard 4x4 EX37 with a seven-speed automatic transmission and electronic stability programme.
Equipment includes 18-inch alloy wheels, tinted windows, half a dozen airbags, automatic xenon headlights and wipers, front and rear parking sensors, satellite navigation, a sophisticated sound system and 'self-healing' paint.
The GT version weighs in at £36,500 and gains leather upholstery plus electric adjustment for the heated front seats and steering wheel.
There are extra-cost options for both models including intelligent cruise control and brake-assist for £850, Connectiviti+ at £1,700, a superior Bose sound system costing £600, metallic paint at £650, electric sunroof for £700, maple wood interior trim costing £300 and aluminium roof rails adding £250.
The next Infiniti prices to be announced are likely to be those of the G30 coupe and roadster models, which are also due here this autumn.
