Writer’s corner

THE STANDARD has teamed up with CREATE/Schools Services to celebrate new writing being created by young people from across the region.

Each week the Standard will publish a piece of writing from a talented youngster as part of Homecoming 2009 celebrations.

This week’s poem was created by Marsha Jamieson, a pupils at Castle Douglas High School.

Getting Ready!
