Housing staff go that extra mile

SOCIAL landlord DGHP held its annual award ceremony recently to mark the achievements of staff and board members.

A total of 21 members of staff and board members were presented with certificates, from the organisation’s chief executive Zoe Forster.

She said: “Each and every one of our colleagues here today have gone that extra mile to contribute to the high level of customer service we provide as an organisation, and I congratulate them all.”

This year’s achievers have gained a range of professional qualifications including the Diploma in Housing Studies, SVQ Health and Social Care 2, ICS Accredited Assessor Award, HNC in Construction Practice, Diploma in Payroll, Paralegal Certificate in Civil Court Practice and the Certificate in Housing.

Tribute was also made to the two board members, David McMillan and Scott Armstrong, who undertook the Certificate in Housing Studies in conjunction with staff.

A total of five board members have now undertaken formal qualifications, which provides an excellent insight into the work undertaken by staff.

Some of the winners were — ICS Communications Award: Denis Culton, Gina Robertson, Kate Jaszewski and Louise Muir.

ICS Accredited Assessor Award: Rae McHardy.

SVQ Health and Social Care 2: Alan Berry, Sheila Campbell and Loraine Kerr.

Diploma in Payroll Administration: Debbie Easton and Freda Taylor.

HNC in Construction Practice: Hugh Maxwell.

Diploma in Housing Studies: Laney Gordon.

The Chartered Institute of Housing Certificate in Housing: Heather Johnston, Jill McGregor, Joanne Birkett, Laura Young, Lorraine Kyle, Peggy Loy, Scott Armstrong and David McMillan.
