EARL Grey and The Loose Leaves, an Edinburgh-based blues band, make their first appearance in Dumfries on Saturday night at So Below continuing its monthly live music programme.

Their enthusiastic performances have gone down well around Edinburgh and the time is right to spread the word. The band is fronted by Corey Gibson, formerly of Penpont, now studying a doctorate at Edinburgh University.

The four-piece band have been together for a couple of years in their current line-up and their sets draw heavily from the old Delta blues legends, albeit playing primarily original material.

Earl Grey recently recorded an EP with Chris Lord at Hunkpapa Studios in Closeburn called Storm in a Teacup.
