Sirens back in the winning habit

The Sirens returned to winning ways following a disappointing loss at Oban the previous week.

They had another early start to make it to Dick Vets in Edinburgh for a morning kick-off and made hard work of the first half.

Chloe Johnstone, Carol Reeves and Ali Henderson all scored tries but with Dick Vets also scoring three, things were too close for comfort.

The girls rallied early in the second half with further tries from Corinna Sidebottom, Wendy Hutton and Ali Henderson, who notched up three. Kirsty McCleary converted four.

Player of the match for the Sirens was loose head prop Debz Swan, who after numerous fantastic carries of the ball came close to scoring on several occasions and tackled like a demon all day.

Team: C Johnstone, S Durnan (C), K McCleary, C Sidebottom, L Douglas, L Miskimming, D Swan, A Harkness, W Hutton, E Lewis, P Sidebottom, E McKean, D Currie, A Henderson. Subs: C Reeves, H Burns.
