Expected win for Dalbeattie

DALBEATTIE Star will be looking to continue their recent scoring spree when they travel to Creetown on Saturday.

The Islecroft side thumped Mid Annandale 8-2 in The Haig Gordon Cup at the weekend and now face a Creetown side who will be short of confidence.

The league tie comes on the back of an 8-0 drubbing for Creetown at the hands of Threave Rovers.

Star will also see the match as a chance to extend their lead at the top of the South of Scotland Football League to four points. With Threave on cup duty it is the perfect chance for the Dalbeattie side to lay down the gauntlet to their title rivals.

And with Scott Milligan looking to be back on top form, having banged in four goals at the weekend taking his tally for the season up to 28 in just 20 games.

The striker had a field day in their 8-2 win at home to Mid Annandale.

Grant Parker hit a double with Alex Maxwell and Gary Kerr rounding off the resounding win.
