Polish diplomat visits region

Kirkcudbright welcomed a Polish diplomat on Saturday when he visited an art exhibition in the town.

Consul General Doctor Tomasz Trafas was a guest of St Andrew’s and St Cuthbert’s RC parish community to view the work of Springholm artist Janina Harrower.

Her exhibition, in the church hall, was organised to coincide with the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.

Also present were local MSP Alex Fergusson, Kirkcudbright Provost Lesley Garbutt and members of the clergy of various church congregations.
