New Dalbeattie school open day

PEOPLE in Dalbeattie are being encouraged to take a close look at plans for a new multi-million pound school.

The council is hosting an open day next Thursday to give people a chance to catch up with what has been discussed so far and to questions the proposals for the £15 million facility.

Councillor Rob Davidson hopes the event gets a good response from the community.

He said: “The Dalbeattie schools project is a major investment for the town which will affect generations of young people.

“I think it’s vital that as many people as possible take part in the consultation, both to have their questions answered and to give us their views on future education provision for the town.”

The open day will take place at the high school from 3pm to 7pm.
