CHRIS Stewart, the Dumfries and Galloway Cricket Community Coach, is carrying on the cricket season and taking the sport to the region’s primary schools.
Over the month of September he will visit these schools as part of his mission “to give everyone, boys and girls, the chance to play cricket in Dumfries and Galloway”.
Sessions started this week at Hoddam, Lochmaben, Newington and Hecklegirth and will run for four weeks bringing primary school cricket to Annan, Ecclefechan and Lochmaben.
Any person or school interested in playing some cricket or receiving an introduction to the game can contact Chris for assistance at DG One or by email at chris.stewart@dumgal.gov.uk.
More information about how to play junior cricket in Dumfries and Galloway can be found at www.dgcricket.org.uk.
