Crichton ladies are Scottish Ladies' Match Play Foursomes Champions

THE CRICHTON Golf Club, represented by Rachel Walker (aged 17) and Amy Little (aged 19), won the Scottish Ladies' Match Play Foursomes 2011 at Glenbervie Golf Club on Sunday.

Seventy-eight club teams from all over Scotland entered the knock out event in April.

Rachel and Amy won through to the semi-finals played on Sunday morning.

The course was in good condition but there was a gusting wind.

With the advantage of their longer distance hitting, Rachel and Amy won the match against Bridge of Allan, four and three.

In the afternoon they played in the final against Dirleton Castle winning seven and six to achieve the title of Scottish Ladies' Match Play Foursomes Champions 2011.
