Captain’s Prize joy

THORNHILL ladies played for the Captain’s Prize on Sunday, June 28.

The competition was played in very pleasant conditions, which made scoring good.

The winner of the Captain’s Prize was E McGarva with an excellent 40 points. Second equal were M Davidson, J Johnstone and R Haddow all on 37 points.

J Laurie won the scratch prize with 26 points, and G Kilgour won nearest the pin at the fifth.

Lady captain Claire McGinley presented the prizes of matching suitcases. She thanked the greenkeepers for the good condition of the course, Graham and Janet for refreshments and food, and the match secretary Fiona for all her hard work. The putting competition was won by S Richardson.
