Big turn-out for Am-Am event

DUMFRIES and Galloway Golf Club held its annual mixed Am-Am on Sunday, May 31 and there was a fantastic turnout from all sections of the club and provided the members with a memorable social event.

The four-person teams were made up of a lady member, a junior member and two gents members (if possible).

Results were as follows: 1 B Alison, D Lilly, B Syme and T Hodgson with a winning score of 126; 2 G Kirk, G Morton, C Harkness and J Scott with a score of 129 (bih); 3 G Murray, C Hyslop, J Brown and Rocky Richardson with a score of 129.

The winning team, including Brian Alison who is something of a Galloway team competition expert, received the trophy from club captain Eddie Whitefield.
