Scottish honours for golfing boys

TWO YOUNG golfing stars, Liam Johnston and Scott Gibson, have just returned from representing Scotland against England in the annual U16 International – held this year in Wolverhampton, and a match against the north of England at Mortonhall.

They were accompanied by their coach Brian Gemmell.

Both players benefit from the SGU academy programme and the facilities at Tower Wood Golf Centre where they are coached by Brian Gemmell. Brian said: “The result of hard work in training last winter resulted in an excellent season for both players and that proves hard work pays off.”

Currently four junior internationals are part of a strong squad under Gemmell’s guidance and all are preparing to embark on their winter training.
