LEADERS CLASH
QUEENS shot stopper David Hutton is expecting a busy day against Dundee tomorrow but he doesnt care as long as his net stays empty.
The Doonhamers take on the Dens Park outfit in a fight for the top spot.
Queens are the only team to have beaten the Dees in the league so far this season, and the two sides are tied at the top of the division.
And Hutton wants the Doonhamers to steal the top spot for themselves with a win tomorrow.
He told the Standard: Weve got to go there looking for the three points.
We wont be looking for anything less than that.
Dundee are a good team, but weve been doing really well and the lads will all be wanting the win.
Hutton reclaimed the number 1 jersey when Ludovic Roy suffered an injury against Dunfermline that has ruled him out until after Christmas.
Safe hands
Since then Hutton has proven himself a safe pair of hands, and notched up three back-to-back shut-outs.
And now the 24-year-old is looking to make it number four at Dens Park.
He said: Dundee are obviously a good side and it could be a busy afternoon.
But as long as I keep the ball out of the net thats fine with me.
I wont mind being busy. Im delighted with the three clean sheets.
As the keeper thats what youre after. Im looking to get as many as I can and its great to get them back to back.
He hasnt conceded a goal since the Doonhamers last defeat to Raith nearly a month ago. But Hutton knows his back four also deserve a lot of the credit.
A lot of its down to the defence, he added.
Im pleased with how the back four has been doing. Theyve been really solid and weve all bonded really well.
We all talk to each other, know our strengths and weaknesses and just work together.
One man that Hutton wont have to worry about is teenage forward Leigh Griffiths.
The Dundee hitman has been called up for the Under 21s European Championships clash with Azerbaijan in Baku.
The striker has scored five goals in 10 starts this season and will be missed by Dundee.
That news will surely give Hutton a better chance of making it four straight shut outs at Dens tomorrow.
