QUEENS boss Gordon Chisholm has made two additions to his squad, and has promised fans there are more to come.
Ludovic Roy and Rocco Quinn have become the latest signings of the close season, as Queens look to rebuild for the new campaign.
Roy brings years of experience to the club, and will know a thing or two about most of the teams in the first division, having played for Ayr United, Livingston, St Mirren and Dundee.
The 31-year-old Frenchman becomes the only goalkeeper on the books, and is looking forward to getting between the sticks at Palmerston.
Roy said: “I think it’s just fantastic to sign for a top first division club like Queen of the South.
“I want to compete in as many matches as possible – that’s my ambition now.
“I want to play in the first team and I want to enjoy my football.”
Midfielder Quinn joins the squad from Hamilton.
He graduated through the Celtic youth system and was at Parkhead for a number of years before moving on to Hamilton.
The two newcomers bring the Queens squad up to 15, with six players re-signing last week and Derek Holmes joining the club earlier last month.
And Chisholm is expecting another four or five new players to be added to the squad before the start of next season, and admits replacing Dobbie remains the biggest challenge.
“We’re still hoping to get another four or five new faces in, but also ensure they’re the right ones.
“We need someone who can score goals like Stephen Dobbie did last season.
“He netted 24 and that’s a hard act to follow.
“Nevertheless, we'll keep trying!”
