QUEENS BOSS Gordon Chisholm is expecting Livingston to come to Palmerston looking for revenge today.
The last time Livingston took to Queens’ soil, they left with their tails between their legs after being battered 6-1.
And Chisholm expects that result registered back in October to have remained fresh in the visitors’ minds come 3pm tomorrow.
Chisholm said: “We beat them 6-1 last time, but I think it’ll be a much tighter affair on Saturday.
“My players won’t be thinking about that result, they won’t be allowed to.
“But Livingston will remember it and they’ll be out for revenge.”
Queens’ up-and-down form continued last week, with an away win against Dundee on Tuesday night followed by a 2-0 away defeat to then-bottom Airdrie.
But the Doonhamers’ best form this year has been at Palmerston, where they remain undefeated in 2009.
And with Queens’ 90th anniversary this weekend, Chisholm is looking to keep that record intact.
He said: “I’m looking for a big reaction after last weekend’s defeat.
“There will be a lot going on at Palmerston and hopefully there’ll be a good atmosphere and the anniversary will be extra motivation for us to get the win.”
Livi are in fine form going into tomorrow’s match, beating league-leaders St Johnstone 1-0 on Saturday and Dunfermline 4-2 on Tuesday night.
Queens’ front-line looks stretched for Saturday’s game, with three of their five forward options hampered by injury.
The long-term injured Gary Arbuckle has been joined on the injury list by David Weatherston who is doubtful for the clash with Livi.
And Sean O’Connor’s ever-present knee injury leaves a question mark over his chances of playing.
“We only had [Stewart] Kean and [Stephen] Dobbie for last Saturday’s game.
“It’s disappointing when you think we’ve so many attacking options and only two of them available.
“Weatherston usually plays wide but can do a job through the middle, and the big question is Sean [O’Connor].
“With him, we’ll just have to wait and see.”
