six-match victory streak came to a blustery end on Saturday when they were defeated 2-0 by bottom of the table Airdrie.
The blow to the team’s return was as much physical as it was psychological in what was a match dominated by the weather more than anyone on the pitch.
There were a few near misses but by half time
Five minutes into the second half and Airdrie’s Marc Smyth scored what would be the teams first of two goals on the windy pitch.
And it was only a matter of several minutes before Scott McLaughlin took a second goal for the Airdrie side.
