Queens draw at Palmerston

Queen of the South

Queens 2 – 2 Partick

QUEEN of the South were in fine mood on Saturday when they took on Partick Thistle on their home turf.

But playing at Palmerston did not mean a victory for the doonhamers who ultimately tied with Partick by the final whistle.

Stephen Dobbie scored early on in the 10th minute giving Queens an early lead.

The Partick side managed to equalise before half-time leaving both teams with an equal stake to claim the match victory in the second.

Stevie Tosh managed to reclaim the lead for the home side early on thanks to a penalty but a late goal from Scott Chaplin snatched victory from the Doonhamers leaving them to settle for a tie.
