Dundee pull fast one

Queen of the South

Queens 0 - 1 Dundee

THE DOONHAMERS were left reeling on Saturday following a 1-0 defeat to Dundee.

Santa failed to deliver something the team desperately needed this Christmas – a match win.

And being on home soil did not seem to work in their favour either.

While Dundee’s victory over the local side was nothing to write home about they got the point they needed to claim the match and continue Queen of the South’s losing streak.

The first and only goal of the match was claimed by McMenamin thirty minutes into the first half after Queens goalie Halliwell deflected a shot from Dundee’s Posniak.

McMenamin quickly stepped in and rebounded the ball catching Halliwell off guard to claim the point for the visitor’s side.

Queens fall to eighth place in the First Division.
