Long road to defeat

Queen of the South

SATURDAY bought the latest disappointing defeat in a long-running string of lost matches for Queens

The Doonhamer’s travelled to Almondvale to take on the Livingston side in what they were hoping would be a turn in their luck.

But goals failed to materialise for both sides in the first half leaving the question wide open to who’s side lady luck would fall on in the match.

Things finally tipped in favour of Livingston in the second half with James McPake scoring in the fifty first minute.

Livingston’s lucky streak struck again when Calum Eliot scored again less than five minutes later.

If the two-nil score was not bad enough Queens suffered a further setback when Craig Barr was sent off after receiving a second booking.

The defeat leaves Queen of the South sitting in seventh place in the First Division.
