QUEENS chairman Davie Rae yesterday insisted the club desperately wants to hang on to manager Gordon Chisholm.
He said there had been no approach from Dundee for permission to talk to the boss.
Chisholm is being touted as front runner to fill the shoes of Alex Rae, sacked by the Dens Park board on Monday afternoon following a string of poor results that has left the side in eighth spot in the first division.
“Gordon played for Dundee and their fans have him at the top of their list,” said the chairman. “We have heard nothing although that situation could change. I don’t want to lose my manager particularly when things are going so well.”
The Standard was unable to contact Chisholm yesterday.
