DUMFRIES Girls Football Club Under 13s were recently presented with a new football strip sponsored by LPS, Lighting Protection Services, of Kirkpatrick Fleming.
The club would like to say “a big thank you” to Andy Ritchie and his team for their generous support. Special thanks also go to Ian White of Sanquhar for sourcing the strips and his generous contribution.
The team would also like to thank the many people throughout Dumfries and Galloway who supported the girls in the Daily Record’s kit for kids token collection appeal. The tremendous total of 9,600 tokens was achieved, which enabled the team to take advantage of the major top package available to teams.
The girls finished off the first half of their season last Saturday with a solid 6-0 victory against an East Kilbride team at Kingholm. They now enter the summer holidays recess, but during this time the club (in conjunction with Dumfries and Galloway Council) will be running a summer coaching camp for two age groups, under 11s and 11-13s.
The camp will be running two nights per week from 5.30pm-7pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, commencing on Monday, July 13. The club is keen to get as many girls along as possible. If anyone is interested, please phone George Scott on 01387-267247 or Ken Asher on 07957 842241.
