Nithsdale finals day

NITHSDALE league’s 2008/09 season concluded on Sunday with the play-off of the various competition finals held at Thornhill Bowling Club.

Winners were as follows:

R J McQuat singles – Brian McQuat. Nithsdale pairs – Andy Ross and Darren Findlater.

Nithsdale triples – Brian McQuat, Colin Tarbuck and Trevor Black. 401 singles – Andy Ross.

Mike Stone pairs – Andy Ross and Darren Findlater. John McWhirter League singles – Andy Ross.

Nithsdale league is grateful to their various sponsors for their much valued and appreciated support during the past season. These were R J McQuat, (painter and decorator), Spar (Thornhill), John McWhirter and Thornhill BC (finals day).

Jim Kay pairs competition: The competition was played to a conclusion on Monday with 18 pairs participating at The Elmarglen Hotel, Thornhill.

Winners on the evening were Brian McQuat and Colin Tarbuck, both of the Thornhill Inn Darts Team.

The league would like to take this opportunity to thank Davy Coltart and Frances Brown of the Elmarglen Hotel for their continued support of this competition.

Thornhill Inn pairs: players are reminded that the above competition takes place on Monday, March 30 at the Thornhill Inn. Entries to be registered on the night by 7.30pm to enable play to begin no later than 8pm.
