NITHSDALE ladies were competing in the Top Team Trophy on Saturday at East Kilbride against Paisley.
Paisley emerged the winners by 78 shots to 65 shots.
Paisley took an early lead by three shots at the fifth end 20/17 but Nithsdale replied by going ahead at the 10th end by five shots 35/40.
Paisley fought back going in front again by five shots 54/49 at the fifteenth end then maintained their lead over the last six ends. Nithsdale scored a further 16 shots whereas the home side added 24 shots for victory by 13 shots.
Scottish Cup: Nithsdale Indoor Bowls Club is the venue for the first round of the Scottish Cup, sponsored by Robert Horn, Jewellers, between Tweedbank and Irvine on Saturday at 2pm.
Open mixed triples: The Nithsdale Indoor Bowls Club is proposing to hold an Open Mixed Triples competition for first prizes of £250, sponsored by Dumfries and Galloway College on Sunday, March 15. The tournament will start at 10am.
