Short mat bowling club appeal

A SHORT mat bowling club is calling for people in the region to offer their support by helping them find a new playing surface.

The Dalswinton carpet bowling club are appealing to any clubs with old short mat bowling carpets to donate them to the club.

The carpet bowling club has been using the same carpet surface for many years.

And time is beginning to tell, with tears and holes in the carpet having a major impact on the matches being played.

And the club now need a new playing surface.

The club are hopeful that either a playing surface will be found, or that a community-spirited individual will offer to supply the club with a surface.
