SCOTLAND’S leading wheelchair bowlers gathered at Red Deer Bowling Club, East Kilbride on Sunday to participate in the annual South Lanarkshire Wheelchair Open Masters Bowls Tournament.
This year’s winner was world championship bowler Rosemary Lenton from Dumfries who, in the final, defeated defending champion Robert Martin from Cumbernauld.
In the semi finals, Rosemary recorded a victory over Tom Smith from East Kilbride playing in his first semi final.
In the other semi final, the 2007 winner defeated William Harrison from Cupar.
Provost Russell Clearie was in attendance to present the prizes and South Lanarkshire Disability Sport Chairman, Ian Dunn thanked Red Deer Bowling Club for hosting the tournament.
