£80,000 boost for veterans' schemes

The Scottish Government has announced £80,000 to fund veterans' projects.

The money will go to 11 schemes around the country, including supported accommodation, a mobile museum tour and outdoor pursuits to help veterans regain physical and mental strength.

Communities Minister Alex Neil said: "The Scottish Government is determined to increase support for Scotland's armed forces veterans.
