Night search operations suspended
Night-time search and rescue operations from RAF Lossiemouth have been temporarily suspended, the Ministry of Defence confirmed.
The search and rescue service has been operating for 12 hours a day from RAF Lossiemouth in Moray since October 18.
But Armed Forces Minister Bill Rammell insisted that there was still 24-hour cover for search and rescue operations in the UK.
