Nithsdale village to go online

A NEW website for Thornhill is in the pipeline in a bid to let visitors know what the village has to offer and for residents to find out what is going on in the area.

Lorraine Murdoch and Linda Airley of Thornhill Community Council are behind the project.

Linda said: “We want local people to be able to find out about local news and information on events, activities and services that will help people make the most of living here and encourage them to take an active part within community life and take pride in where they live.”

Lorraine added: “We also want visitors to find out about Thornhill, where it is and how to get here.

“We have already purchased a domain name of Visitthornhill.co.uk”

Lorraine and Linda discussed their idea with members of Thornhill Community Council at the last meeting and will re-submit a draft plan of the website at the September meeting.
