Treble success for Moffat hotel

A MOFFAT hotel has three reasons to celebrate in what has been their busiest year to date.

The Annandale Arms Hotel has been awarded a coveted AA Rosette having just joined the AA hotel accreditation scheme.

Margaret Tweedie, head chef, said that she was absolutely delighted especially as this comes on top of being awarded a Gold Medal in the Real and Local Food section of the Scottish Hotel Awards 2010.

She said: “At the Annandale we are very aware of food miles and seasonality so we try to source as much as possible locally. We are lucky in Moffat as there are so many excellent local suppliers.”

Margaret says she will not be resting on her laurels. She and her fellow chef Alison Warner will be aiming for two rosettes next year.
