New office welcome

DUMFRIES shop owners brought the new Standard and Galloway News office to an abrupt halt when they welcomed staff with a delicious cake!

Ewan and Maureen Fraser from Hardthorn Stores and the Toll Bar, and Bill and Sheila Farries from the Holywood Shop, pitched together for a delicious sponge cake for the team to enjoy.

Sheila said: “It’s a great new building, with a lovely view of the river and plenty of light, right in the heart of Dumfries. You’ve done us proud many a time, and we all thought you deserved a welcoming cake for your lovely new premises!”
