Charity on the move to centre of town

A TRIO of charitable organisations is moving into Dumfries town centre from next week.

Nithsdale Council of Voluntary Services, Solway Credit Union and Volunteer Action Dumfries and Galloway are all moving out of the base at the Holywood Building in Old Assembly Close on Monday, October 19.

Their new home will be at The Hub, 24-26 Friars Vennel.

They will not re-open for business until Monday, November 2.

A spokesman for the charities said: “We apologise for any inconvenience this temporary interruption may cause our members and service users.”
