Gala returns to Locharbriggs

LOCHARBRIGGS is to host its first gala in more than 20 years on Sunday.

A once vibrant and exciting occasion, the popular day fell by the wayside.

But a small group from Heathhall and Locharbriggs came together last year and began fundraising for the project.

And what a gala it looks set to be. Queens captain Jim Thomson will be crowning the gala queen. There will entertainments and competitions for children throughout the day at Locharbriggs Primary playing fields. The gala runs from 10am to 4pm.

The plan is to alternate the venue of the gala between Heathhall and Locharbriggs each year.
