FILM firm Mothcatcher have shunned the bright lights of
The independent film company which produced the Scottish BAFTA nominated film The Dead Outside has relocated from the capital city so that the team can take advantage of the great shooting locations right on their doorstep.
Another reason for the move was so that Director Kerry Anne Mullaney could be closer to her family.
Producer Kris Bird said: “We have relocated down here for two parts. The film shooting is one of the things. The second is shooting corporate videos.
“The main reason we came down here was because Kerry’s family live down here. It was getting to a stage where it was difficult to grow in
“It was getting to a stage that when we were doing a project we had to take out space and it was starting to cost too much.
“We also make corporate videos for training with companies and in Dumfries and
Kris said another reason why he and Kerry decided to move to the region was because of the spectacular scenery they encountered when they were shooting The Dead Outside.
“We really enjoyed shooting the last film down here.”
The company are currently preparing to shoot their next film later in the year.
