POLICE are hunting a youth who threw a stone at a moving bus in Annan.
The incident happened in the town’s Springbells Road just after 4pm on Friday.
The stone bounced off the bus and hit a passing car’s windscreen, but no-one was hurt.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
And Sergeant Alison Moir of Annan community policing unit, said that antisocial behaviour and vandalism will not be tolerated by officers.
They are planning a summer clampdown on antisocial behaviour and vandalism in Annan over the school holidays.
She says a pro-active approach is underway for the six weeks when there is seasonally a rise in problems.
One of the key areas for police attention will be the Annan harbour area where there has been a history of speeding vehicles, noise from customised exhausts, vandalism and drug taking in the Port Street and harbour area.
She said officers would be stepping up patrols through the summer months at the primary schools and Annan Academy which have exclusion zones in place.
And has called for the public to report any antisocial behaviour or vandalism, especially of school windows, to the police.
