Ae pupils takes classmates to Northern Ireland

AE Primary pupil Finlay Howat is taking his classmates and half the village on a trip to Northern Ireland.

He was the overall winner of the W5 Wind in your Sails Primary School Art Competition which secured him and up to 50 others a trip to Belfast.

The prize includes a visit to the Wind, Wings and Waves exhibition at the W5 science centre with transportation provided by Stena Line.

The only problem was Finlay only has nine classmates.

Nicola Edgar, clerical assistant at the school, said: “The trip is for up to 50 people but there are only 10 pupils and one teacher at Ae primary.

“We have therefore decided to invite all the school staff which includes me and dinner ladies, we have also decided to ask parents and family members to join us on our trip.”

They set sail yesterday.
