ST JOSEPH’S pantomime this year became a case of “who-done-it?” as the school turned the format on its head in Once Upon a Rhyme.
This year’s school panto had all the usual fairy tale characters, but not as you are likely to have seen them before.
A crime wave swept across Nursery Rhyme Land, with King Gilbert accused as the ring leader.
Crimes included: who took Little Bo-Peep’s sheep and who stole food from Old Mother Hubbard’s cupboard?
And it was time for the famous panto characters to take the stand, as part of a most memorable court case.
But there were also plenty of panto favourites, with custard pies galore and a hat-full of “He’s behind you!”
All the cast were school pupils and around 80 in total were involved in the production.
Drama teacher and director Bruce Hart said: “We’re very pleased with how it went.
“It was a huge success and it was great to see so many pupils working so well together, especially seeing sixth year pupils helping the younger ones to produce something so successful.”
The mystery panto show ran from Thursday to Saturday night, and was held at St Joseph’s college and enjoyed a good turn out each night.
