The People's Project

The Standard reported recently on the launch of the People's Project, a new initiative set up by local businessman Mark Jardine.

The project aims to regenerate Dumfries through the set-up and funding of one or possibly several regeneration schemes. Ideas up for proposal include: action on seagulls and litter; a clean-up of the River Nith; a heitage scheme for Bruce/barrie/Burns; facilities for young people or an entertainment and leisure scheme.
